Dock Leveler uses a hydraulic power unit to lift the upper main panel through a main oil cylinder, while a small auxiliary oil cylinder pushes out the lip plate. It is essential when dock height and truck height differ, utilizing the self-weight drop principle to position the lip plate onto the rear of the truck.
